Captain Doug is the long time head of the Detroit Area Steelheaders, Inc's River and Stream Committee.  He also takes a proactive interest in issues affecting the states fisheries and actively attends meetings of the Great Lakes Fisheries Commission and the Southern Michigan Watershed Council among others.
